RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005

            It has been notified that the Indian Missions abroad are covered under RTI Act 2005. Indian Citizens abroad can secure information under the control of public authorities. The full details about the RTI Act and its provisions are available on the website at http://cic.gov.in . As per the provisions of the RTI Act, the names and contact details of the Public Information Officer and the Appellate Authority in respect of Embassy of India, Addis Ababa are as given as follows:-

            As request for obtaining information under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of RTI Act shall be accompanied by an application fee equivalent to Rs.10/- (ETB 3.00 current rates) by way of cash or by demand draft payable in the name of the Embassy of India, Addis Ababa. Separate fees as specified in the RTI Act will be levied for copies of documents etc.
